„Schitt's Creek“ hat bei den diesjährigen Emmys einen Rekord gebrochen: Die Serie hat in allen sieben Comedy-Kategorien den Preis abgeräumt. Das gab es zuvor noch nie.
Netflix dagegen konnte nur in zwei Kategorien gewinnen, während der Dienst Amazon Prime, der erst letztes Jahr noch dominierte, komplett leer ausging. Auch eine deutsche Siegerin war dabei: Maria Schrader hat für ihre Regiearbeit an „Unorthodox“ gewonnen.
